A Project Doomed to Fail

Hello internet!

 I have started this (quite mediocre) blog in order to release some of my pent-up opinions about the world as we know it today. More than anything, this is for my own benefit as this will help me cohere the sporadic and abstract thoughts in my head into something that people can actually understand (if the three "why you should start a blog articles are to be believed). If you enjoy these--or even find them at all for that matter--that would be nice as well!

For the theoretic minutia of people that could be reading this, I have some relatively bad news. I presume that posts on here will be extremely sparse and that their topics will only be based on what I am inclined to talk about at any one moment. As I predict that this blog will be projected to, at most, a handful of people (as one could probably tell by my extremely optimistic title), that fact will likely not change.

Food

Strangely enough, food is one of the most hotly-contented issues today. The tradition of fueling the human body looks very different between cultures, and can even vary intra-culturally.  The largest force of food-centered change is veganism, the belief that humans should not use animal products in any way whatsoever. The biggest critics of vegans are those that believe that humans require certain nutrients exclusive to animal products. I am not here to argue the validity of that claim but am instead here to counter it. This factoid seems to imply that meat is definitely a healthier option, but that is far from true. Most meats are full of fat, which—in large doses—can pose a significant health risk. Why I Blog

Writing these posts often feels like I'm talking to a brick wall. I have one overall view as of now (one that I'm pretty sure is myself), and there is no prospect that will change anytime soon. Regardless, I boot open my laptop every day and attempt to write one of these posts. But why do I do it? I have no aspirations of success or fame on a part of this blog. If I did, I wouldn't have chosen such an obscure blog name, nor would I continually write these sweepingly general titles. I will admit that there is a slight need to prove to colleges that I am spending my quarantined summer productively, but I doubt that a run-into-the-ground, poorly-written blog will be much of a factor in their decision (at least I hope not).  I write this blog of my own volition.  My life is plagued by this nagging desire to be productive at all times. I exercise while I watch television, I listen to podcasts while I play videogames, and I spend most of my free time writing things like this....
