Why I Blog

Writing these posts often feels like I'm talking to a brick wall. I have one overall view as of now (one that I'm pretty sure is myself), and there is no prospect that will change anytime soon. Regardless, I boot open my laptop every day and attempt to write one of these posts. But why do I do it?
I have no aspirations of success or fame on a part of this blog. If I did, I wouldn't have chosen such an obscure blog name, nor would I continually write these sweepingly general titles. I will admit that there is a slight need to prove to colleges that I am spending my quarantined summer productively, but I doubt that a run-into-the-ground, poorly-written blog will be much of a factor in their decision (at least I hope not).
I write this blog of my own volition.
My life is plagued by this nagging desire to be productive at all times. I exercise while I watch television, I listen to podcasts while I play videogames, and I spend most of my free time writing things like this.
This blog won't go anywhere--I know--but, at the very least, it will give me some sense of solace in knowing that my summer was somewhat productive. Thanks for staying on this ride with me.
